Cars will depart at about 9:30 AM. \nWe are planning a more scenic route that will take us just under 2 hrs to get to Julian as we‘ll take some roads less traveled off the 79 highway near Wynola. \nPlenty of lunch options in Julian and a great place to stretch your legs and shop. DESCRIPTION:Everyone that is even remotely interested in the 356 and other early Porsches is welcome to attend! \nThis event was started by Mike Nelson circa 1998 with a gathering of about 12 people at his home. A small group has been responsible for carrying on this tradition at Jack’s shop at 1321 Calle Valle\, San Clemente\, 92672. \nLunch will begin at 12 noon. Grillmaster Bob Lee (former Der Wienerschnitzel employee of the month in Phoenix\, Arizona) will be doing his magic once again. Everyone is encouraged to bring something to share. In the past\, certain individuals treated this as a “feed the hopeless” event and left after eating. Jack requests that you don’t do that! \nGot spare parts? Bring what can fit in a 356 to sell/swap\, help someone along with their project! Larger parts print out a flyer. Swag? DESCRIPTION:The 30th +1  annual Palms to Pines event will be held November 19th – 21st 2021. There are some significant changes to our typical itinerary. This year we will not have a single headquarters hotel. The inability to travel to Palm Springs during the pandemic and the loss of income to hotels has led to a shortage of hotel rooms and an increase in room rates. We were unable to negotiate a favorable group rate at any desirable hotel. To register\, use this link. \nPlease make your own room reservations. If you are considering attending this year’s event\, please avoid disappointment and higher rates by booking early. Our recommendation is to book your room “as soon as possible”. \nWe will be driving to Julian on Friday\, Nov. 19th for lunch. Those joining us from south Orange County and the San Diego area can join us without needing to drive to Palm Springs first. SUMMARY:East Meets West Roundup Driving Event
DESCRIPTION:The Arizona Outlaws 356 Club and the New Mexico Zia 356 Club are planning a driving event centered in Silver City\, NM on October 14-17\, 2021. This will be a four day activity with great local drives on Friday and Saturday. Silver City is an historic town located in southwest New Mexico. It is located approximately 313 miles east of Phoenix\, 235 miles southwest of Albuquerque\, 606 miles east of San Diego\, and 154 miles northwest of El Paso. \nThe event hotel is the Holiday Inn Express at $109 per night\, telephone 575-538-2525. Mention the “Zia 356 Club” for the group rate. The Outlaws will have a 9 AM group start from the Apache Junction and US-60 area with a lunch stop in Safford (~150 miles). Then backroads to Silver City (~140 miles). \nYou must be a current 356 Registry member to register for this event. The process is simple and uses  the ClubRegistration.net web site. If you registered for this event in 2020 or the High Desert Holiday in 2019 then you should already have an account and password. DESCRIPTION:Sponsored by the Vintage Volkswagen Club of America and Rare Vintage Air Car Club\, this is a ~60-mile drive tentatively slated for north of Los Angeles county.  The event will be capped at 200 cars.  Please be aware each car must include one driver and one navigator passenger. No solo drivers will be allowed to participate. This is a competition Rallye based on driving and navigation skills\, not speed.
